Led by Amy Tinley ATNCS is a team of experienced nursing consultants passionate about The Aged Care Standards.  From simply wanting to know how you are tracking with a mock accreditation and gap analysis report, to needing some assistance building your clinical data trending, or your management teams needing some guidance in accreditation preparation, we can assist. If you have received a notice of non-compliance, notice to agree or a sanction, we can help you through what is a challenging process. We understand that the aged care sector can be complicated and ever-changing, which is why we believe in empowering facility staff to feel confident in their roles and in keeping up with the latest standards and best practice procedures.

 ATNCS can assist across all of areas of aged care, and our level of involvement can vary depending on what you require.

We can provide our services on a full-time, part-time or one-off basis.

  • Providing complete audits, written reports and gap assessments to your facility to implement.
  • Complete monitoring, gap assessments and a suggested analysis of how to repair gaps, with the support of a consultant to ensure the gaps are appropriately closed. 
  • Care-taking full time (5 days/week) both onsite and remotely, as well as being on call to assist RNs when required.
  • Full assistance as the appointed nurse advisor for homes that have unfortunately received a notice of non-compliance or been advised of a notice to agree or sanction.

Responding to Sanctions

If you have received a notice of non-compliance, a notice to agree, or a sanction following an audit by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, you will need to enlist an expert third-party consultant to assist. We can consult and assist to write responses to unmet standards with the goal of overturning them. We can review and assess the notice to agree or sanction against relevant policies and procedures and revise these policies and procedures to improve the services provided to your residents. We are highly skilled in evidence-based clinical management, determining and guiding interventions and ensuring risks are mitigated and managed in a responsive time frame.

Operational Management

ATNCS can provide operational management, review and mentor teams and management. We can ensure the implementation of Policy Development and reporting lines for effective management. If your facility is currently replacing staff, have managers on leave, or in the process of recruiting, we can step in as Facility Manager or Clinical manager temporarily.

Auditing & Gap Assessment

ATNCS can conduct internal audits and assessments against The Aged Care Standards and NDIS standards, reviewing your organisation's policies and procedures. We can assist you in preparing for an upcoming accreditation by ensuring your organisation complies with the Aged Care Quality Standards. We can conduct a Gap Analysis to identify where your facility currently stands, where there is a compliance issue and how to improve. We can consult on solutions to gaps, and, if required, implement these solutions.

Team Building, Education & Mentoring

Having an effective team that functions in their roles and responsibilities is essential to the efficient running of an Aged Care Facility. With expertise across all areas of Aged Care nursing and management, we can provide high-level training and education to staff within your organisation. We can identify areas where more training is needed and improve the knowledge and confidence of your staff.

Continuous Improvement Plans

We can audit your facility to develop a continuous improvement plan that can be actioned in reasonable and achievable time frames. We continue to work with you, building a sustainable improvement plan over 6-12 months that complies with the AQCSC need for continuous improvement. This can be done on-site or remotely with regular check-ins.

Governance and Policy/Procedure Development

We ensure that your facility is always up to date with best practice and current guidelines through regular reviews and Policy and Procedure development. We review and assist to develop and build monthly reports to ensure all areas of reporting requirements are covered and clinical KPIs have been reviewed and correctly reported.

Desktop Audits

ATNCS can remotely access care systems to provide a written report against own Policies and Procedures and advise on where documentation based gaps are within the care system. If you are running behind on audits, we can use your current auditing system to complete audits for you and provide written reports on gaps as well as suggest changes and improvements.

We are passionate about care and believe in empowering facilities and staff to feel confident in their training and abilities to provide a high level of care to their residents. Our consulting is personalised to your facilities unique situation, budget constraints and systems.

We won't constantly change consultants on you. Taking pride in our work, we approach every job with honesty and attention to detail.

Amy Tinley

ATNCS is led by founder Amy Tinley. Amy is a registered nurse of 16 years and has been working within aged care for 11 years. She has an extensive background in nursing management and running multiple aged care homes. With 5 years of executive management roles and a focus on quality and compliance, Amy loves sharing her knowledge and so began taking on consulting roles, growing into ATNCS in 2022.

Jacob Roussos

ATNCS welcomed Jacob as the Business Development Manager in 2023. He brings almost a decade of experience working for state government bodies. After 6 years in enforcement he moved to prosecutions where he worked with executive management and appeared regularly before magistrates in the Local and Childrens Court. Jacob has a Bachelor of Laws from University New England and has just returned to Australia after leading the Community Management team at Germany's largest mapping app for hikers and cyclists. He is passionate about community and excited to bring his knowledge and experience to the aged care sector.
